Everybody has a story and this is ours...

The story begins with creation. Once there was nothing. Now there is time and space and history. Nobody knows for sure how God did it or how long it took, but the story says that the universe was designed to produce life.

We messed things up when we fell in love with ourselves rather than in love with God. Human beings wanted some corner of their lives where they could say to God, "This is our business - not yours." There is no such corner.

However, God, in the person of Jesus Christ became a human person in order to enable people to become the children of God. There are several little stories here, but this is the big one...God keeps taking us back no matter how much we mess up. The Creator cares about everything He has made, including us. He reaches out to us in many ways; constantly inviting us into a relationship with Him.

The story never ends, but it does wrap things up by promising that the last day of my life will turn out to be the beginning of a life in new dimensions - a new expansive world of perfect peace and total justice.

What is it like to be a follower of Jesus? It's like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in and washes the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.., and then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you for all the world to see!
